Aged bronze standing Buddha statue. This statue has a dark bronze colour, highlighted in a few areas such as the palms of the hands.
The right hand shows the fear-not gesture; called the Abhaya mudrā ("mudrā of no-fear") it represents protection, peace, benevolence, and dispelling of fear.
The left is in the Varada position. The Varada mudrā ("favourable mudrā") signifies offering, welcome, charity, giving, compassion and sincerity.
Please note: This detailed statue of the Buddha is made of real bronze, NOT the bronze resin. You may be surprised how heavy this is; it's wonderfull!
